Third IAF Industry Day |
|||
In March 2008 IAF held its third Industry Day in Bonn, Germany hosted by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology together with TGA GMBH. Delegates to the conference were welcomed by Ulrich Boshagen, Chairman of the TGA Board, and Guenther Beer of Siemens AG Regulation & Conformity Assessment Division and IAF Board member for Industry and User Associations. The conference was informed of changes in accreditation policy being implemented by the European Commission and how Accreditation Bodies based in Europe functioned and would meet the new legislative requirements. Presentations were also given covering the legal impact of accredited certification, the problems faced by small and medium enterprises (SMEs), as well as the experiences of large scale industries including the highly regulated medical devices field. Copies of the presentations can be accessed below. |
